Great job Reed! You've worked hard over the last few years to earn this. This race is not a gimme by any means. These are long hard climbs at altitude and usually hot. Most people can do one lap. More than one lap takes hard training and the ability to sustain pain. It's great to see the kids on bikes too.

Thanks, Brad. I am glad to see you are still following us each week. I actually thought about you a lot today as we were climbing Solitude. I remember how fast you went out last year. You were definitely missed today, but riding for pure fun at Brian Head sounds pretty sweet too.

I had to tell you how much I enjoy reading your re-cap of the race each weekend. You have really had a great season so far, with the the season championship well in control. Vern seems to be riding strong and of course Jason worked very hard in the off season. Good to see Stan back at it, he's such a great rider and loves the sport almost as much as sking. I must say, at times it hurts a little to read the re-caps...I miss riding and racing and more importantly, I miss being able to see each of you each Saturday.

Just got home a couple of hours ago from riding bikes with my son David up in Bran Head. I Had the best weekend on the bike I've had in years. He finally loves to climb, we went 45 miles over two days and really enjoyed the cool weather. I know you will have many of those kind of weekends in the upcoming years with your boy's !

Well, I wanted you to know I miss all of you and I'm so happy for you that all your hard work is really paying off this year.

Take care,

Brad

Thanks for the update, Brad. Good luck with the new venture in Vegas. I'll see you on March 6 and we can catch up then.

By the way, the way our group keeps getting faster and faster, you don't necessarily need to move up for a new challenge. :)

Reed,
I will be moving back to Las Vegas on the 1st of Febuary to open a business. I will see you at St. George and Hurricane and well, we will just see how many northern races I can make...I will try to do 2-3 0f them just to get some riding in and see old friends. I was going to move up to expert for a new challenge, but I think with the elevation here I'd better stay in sport and enjoy the year. Mike leaving, now me...things change but memories remain. Look forward to seeing you and keep up your blog so I can stay up to date.

P.S. 1st place or nothing for you this year...This is your year!
